| For John who has filled my life with his own special music. | |
|---|---|
Sometimes when I close my eyes I see you, the conductor of the orchestra. Waving the spatula around, conducting music only you can hear. Your face smeared with cake batter...makeup of the heart. Hands moving this way and then that way. As you conduct an allegro composition. I hear the joy bubbling up as you laugh and giggle. Happy babble playing the melody. You, the conductor of the music in my heart. Conducting the orchestra of my life. I open my eyes and the vivid memory of you disappears. But still the music plays on with you the conductor of the orchestra. Conducting a joyful allegro composition. Which will always play in my heart.
