The Pilgrims

Perhaps many of the pilgrims journeyed with fearful hearts.
When to the "New World" they embarked.
A place which was wild.
Needing lots of care like a newborn child.
Little did they know of the hardships that lay ahead.
Or, that in the first year many would be dead.
Yet, those who did survive;
Were glad to be alive.
So with their new found Indian friends they held a feast.
A feast celebrating Thanksgiving and Peace.
